This is Akechi.

So. I don't know about the rest of you, but I just had the 'pleasure' of speaking with the head of the Steel Wardens, and I learned quite a few interesting things.
First, it appears that they culled an entire bloodline. The bloodline of the Silver Tears witch who evidently had a hand in fracturing the moon. Evidently, the Wardens also got "warped" as well, which may be in part why they replace their organic tissue with machinery, though they also claim to do it in order to ward off Stasis.
The Stasis, it seems, is fast acting and can take its host in less than a day. Perhaps we ought to consider ourselves lucky, but I find it curious that the Warden leader retains his autonomy, yet all the stooges we've faced are just a step away from mindless killing machines.
[Pausing, he hums.]
He claimed that the 'work' in the tunnels was intended to harvest energy and revert the moon, yet that hardly excuses the souls trapped below. Moreover, he referred to Nirvana as a 'fool's sanctuary.'
[So, those are the facts, which brings him to his next point...]
That is solely my experience, however. I'm curious what the rest of you learned. Now is the time to collect information, as this is the clearest lead we've received in some time.
